1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Tacth (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Tacth. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and are legally capable of entering into binding agreements. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your account information.

3. Service Description

Tacth is an expense-sharing and financial tracking application that helps users record, split, and manage shared expenses within groups. The Service supports multiple group templates (Trip, Turf, Casual, Household), expense splitting, settlement tracking, and summary sharing. Tacth does not process, hold, or transfer any actual money or payments — it is a tracking and informational tool only.

4. Privacy & Data

Tacth stores your name, email, profile photo, phone number (if provided), UPI ID (if provided), and group financial data. This data is stored securely in Google Firebase. We use your data solely to provide and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Group financial data (expenses, settlements, balances) is visible to other members of your groups. You can request data deletion at any time by deleting your account.

5. Financial Data & No Payment Processing

Tacth tracks expenses and settlements between users for informational purposes only. We do not process, hold, transfer, or facilitate any actual financial transactions. UPI deep links, if used, redirect you to your chosen payment app — Tacth is not responsible for any payment made or received through third-party apps. All settlement records in Tacth are manual entries and do not constitute proof of payment. You are solely responsible for verifying actual payments with other parties.

6. User Conduct & Acceptable Use

You agree to use Tacth responsibly and lawfully. You must not: (a) create fraudulent, false, or misleading expense entries; (b) use the Service to harass, defraud, or deceive other users; (c) attempt to access data or accounts that you are not authorized to access; (d) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service; (e) use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service; (f) share your account credentials with others. You are responsible for all expenses, settlements, and content you add to the Service.

7. User-Generated Content

You are solely responsible for the content you create in Tacth, including expense descriptions, group names, and settlement records. You grant Tacth a non-exclusive license to display this content within your groups. You must not post content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, or violates others' privacy. Tacth reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Tacth, including its logo, design, software, and content, is the intellectual property of its owners. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without prior written consent. Tacth trademarks and branding may not be used without permission.

9. Third-Party Services

Tacth integrates with third-party services including Google (authentication), Firebase (data storage), and UPI payment apps (settlement links). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of these third-party services. Their use is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Tacth may modify or discontinue third-party integrations at any time without notice.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tacth and its owners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to financial losses, data loss, or disputes with other users over expenses or settlements.

11. Data Retention & Account Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. Upon deletion: your profile and authentication data are permanently removed; you are removed from all groups; expenses you created remain for other members' records but show as "Deleted User"; settlement records remain for other members' history; outstanding balances are settled to zero. This action cannot be undone. Group admins can also delete groups, which permanently removes all group data for all members.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted within the Service. Your continued use of Tacth after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes through in-app notifications or email where possible.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from your use of Tacth shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

14. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms & Conditions, you can contact us through the Help & Support screen in the app, or by submitting a support ticket. We aim to respond to all inquiries within 48 hours.
